College of Engineering, University of Iowa, USA

Excellence Engineering Scholarships is a scheme of awards offered by The University of Iowa to international students. Currently there are 100 awards for outstanding international first-year students who admitted and enroll in College of Engineering for fall 2008.

Programs offered by the College of Engineering are:

  • Biomedical Engineering
  • Chemical and Biochemical Engineering
  • Civil and Environmental Engineering
  • Electrical and Computer Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering

Students eligible to apply must meet the following requirements:

  • be admitted and enroll in Engineering@Iowa for summer or fall 2008
  • have a high school GPA of 3.70 or higher (on a 4.00 scale)
  • OR have an ACT composite of 28+ (SAT critical reading + math score of 1240 or higher)

A complete application must include:
Scholarship Application Cover Page (download here)
• Answers to Short Essay Questions (return with cover page)
• A copy of your High School Transcript (return with cover page)

Notification will made by March 1st, 2008. Application deadline is January 31st 2008 (postmark) and should be sent to:
