The StraightForward Media Liberal Arts Scholarship is available to liberal arts students. We offer four scholarships a year exclusively to liberal arts students.

What Counts as Liberal Arts?

What we’re referring to here is NOT what most people call “fine arts” — painting, sculpture, drawing, graphic design, etc.

Rather, it’s English, languages, literature, art, history, political science, economics, psychology, sociology, etc. At the same time, we know that the definition of “liberal arts” program out there, so we can’t provide a comprehensive list of what does and doesn’t constitute a liberal arts program.

In the end, if you think there’s some reason to doubt that we’d consider your program to be “liberal arts,” just explain in your essay why you think it is. We’re unprejudiced with respect to different opinions on the subject — just make your case, and your application will likely be considered along with everyone else’s.

Whatever your reason for pursuing a liberal arts degree, you’ll need money to get there. That’s why we created the $500 Liberal Arts Scholarship, offered four times per year. You can apply online now — check the deadline schedule below for the current application dates.

The deadlines for applications are: March 31, June 30, September 30 and December 31 each year
