Denmark. Open for application, postdoctoral positions in computational fluid dynamics within the the Faculties of Engineering, Science and Medicine, Department of Energy Technology. Appointment to Postdoc presupposes scientific qualifications at PhD level or similar scientific qualifications. The research potential of each applicant will be emphasized in the overall assessment.
Appointment to Postdoc cannot exceed a period of four years in total at the same institution (appointment at Assistant Professor level cannot exceed a period of eight years in total in Denmark, however max. six years at Assistant Professor level at Aalborg University).
Research areas will be within the application of computational fluid dynamics to problems involving chemical reactions, two phase flow, heat and mass transfer. The main applications will be combustion of biomass and reforming of hydro carbons. The activities will be based on the commercial CFD code Fluent with advanced user defined subroutines as well as the open source code OpenFoam. The activities will be undertaken in collaboration with Danish and international companies and institutions. Applicants must have a solid background in computational fluid dynamics and documented experience with model development, implementation and validation.
Limited teaching within the area can be expected, but also in other study programmes at the University.
