Austria-PostDoc Positions in Otorhinolaryngology

Applications are being invited by the Department of Otorhinolaryngology for Postdoc positions. This position is for research in inflammatory processes of the airway mucosa, tumor immunology with focus on cancer stem cells of solid tumors.

Interested candidates are required to have experience in protein chemistry, FACS analysis and cell culture. Appointees are expected to conduct independent research projects and explore physiological-immunological mechanisms using innovative techniques in molecular biology and histology. Fluent English is required.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree and appropriate and sufficient post-doctoral research experience to establish an independent research program and obtain funding. The position has been available since beginning of January 2008. The appointment will be granted initially for 4 years and becomes permanent upon positive external evaluation.
