Australia – PhD Scholarships in Urban Water Research

CSIRO through the Water for a Healthy Country National Research Flagship is offering Postgraduate Scholarships to provide prospective students with the opportunity to undertake post graduate research aligned with National Research Priorities in partnership with CSIRO. Top-up scholarships are available to PhD students who have gained (or expect to gain) an APA or equivalent.

In certain circumstances, full scholarships are also available. The scholarships offered under the Urban Water Research Theme cover: Tailored membranes for desalination (2007/1140) Microbial fuel cells for waste treatment (2007/1143) Strategies for retrofitting stormwater harvesting in existing urban areas (2007/1141) Quantification of Climate on Urban Water Use (2007/1144) Impact of decentralised servicing options on sewer networks (2007/1142) Automated location of buried pipelines through machine vision (2007/1145) Further information can be found on the Flagship website.

This scholarship is for study in Australia and is offered annually to an unspecified number of people. Open for applications until October 31, 2007. The value of this scholarship is unspecified (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid .

2. Veterinary and Environmental Sciences,
3. Architecture
4. Urban Environment and building
5. Biological Science or
6. Engineering and Technology.
